organic cleaners

Every time I try to use a certain leading brand of strong bathroom cleaner, I start coughing and my eyes swell half shut, making me look like a bulldog.  It’s been a good reason to get out of cleaning the bathroom for quite a while, but organic cleaners are forcing me to become more creative when coming up with reasons I should not be the one to clean the powder room.

Green and sustainable cleaners such as the EcoLogic product line can not only keep your house safe and sparkling, but unplug your drains and improve your septic system.

Why Purify Your Laundry?

Washing machines operate through mechanical and thermal energy and chemical action supplied by soaps, detergents, and fabric softener.  They work by either agitating (spinning) or tumbling laundry.  Tumbling is a gentler method of washing than agitation, and the front-loading machines that are rising in popularity in recent years use tumbling as their cleaning method.  They also use water more efficiently and require less cleansing chemicals than their top-loading counterparts, but the top-loading washing machine is still the most commonly found type of washing machine in the United States as of this writing.

Some revolutionary washing machines also have the capability of purifying your laundry as well as cleaning it. They use steam or silver to accomplish this, and are much more expensive than more traditional models.  Water often contains a larger amount of organic waste than we would like to believe, and generally laundry detergents and fabric softeners contain a number of toxic chemicals.  These innovative new washing machines purport to be kinder to the environment, both by saving energy and by making your clothes as clean as they could possibly be made.  However, you can also purchase a portable water purifier specifically constructed for your laundry needs.
